The next matches of the U-23 European Wrestling Championship organized in Zrenjanin, Serbia, have been held.

It was reported that Ruzanna Mammadova, who represents our country in the 62 kg weight category, continued her successful performance. She first won with a full advantage (11:0) over the Bulgarian representative Fatma Tahir Shabana and advanced to the 1/4 finals. R. Mammadova then faced Turkish wrestler Gülsüm Bingöl on the way to the semi-finals and defeated her opponent again with a full advantage (11:0) and qualified for the semi-finals.
In addition, Nargiz Samadova, who represents our country in the 53 kg weight category, won a 3:0 victory over Lithuanian athlete Vestina Daniseviciute and advanced to the semi-finals.
Zahra Karimzade, competing in the 72 kg, faced Bulgarian representative Daniela Petrova Brasnarova in the qualifying stage. Although the match ended with a score of 2:2, the Azerbaijani wrestler lost based on the last point principle.

Nargiz Samadova (53 kg) will face Vestina Danisevicius, who represents Lithuania, in the 1/4 final stage. Ruzanna Mammadova (62 kg) and Zahra Karimzade (72 kg) will start the competition from the qualifying stage.
In the final matches to be held today, Gultakin Shirinova (55 kg) will face Hungarian athlete Gerda Terek. Gunay Gurbanova (59 kg) will test her strength against Belarusian representative Marta Hetmanava in the decisive match.
It should be noted that Ali Tsokayev (92 kg) became the European champion among freestyle wrestlers earlier. Jeyhun Allahverdiyev (61 kg), Vasif Baghirov (57 kg), Sabuhi Amiraslanov (79 kg), Yusif Dursunov (125 kg) won silver medals, and Musa Aghayev (65 kg), Ramik Heybatov (70 kg) and Zafar Aliyev (97 kg) won bronze medals.
