Farid Sadikhli, competing in the 55 kg category, won a victory over Czech Filip Bartosik with a full advantage (9:0) and qualified for the 1/4 finals.
In addition, Ravan Nuriyev, representing our country in the 77 kg category, lost to Belarusian Kirill Valevsky with a score of 1:4 in the qualifying round. In the qualifying round, Farid Sadigli (55 kg) will face Czech Filip Bartosik, Ilkin Gurbanov (63 kg) will face Turkish Enes Ülkü, Ravan Nuriyev (77 kg) will face Belarusian Kiril Valevski, and Aykhan Mardanov (130 kg) will face Greek Achilles Chrisidis. Said Akhundzade (87 kg) will compete against Romanian Patrick Yulian Gordan in the 1/8 finals.
Among the female wrestlers, Ruzanna Mammadova (62 kg) will compete for a gold medal. She will face Russian Amina Tandelova in the decisive match.
