The U-23 European Wrestling Championship continues in Zrenjanin, Serbia.
According to the information of the "Report" correspondent sent to the tournament, 3 more female wrestlers from Azerbaijan will join the competition on the 4th day of the competition.
Nargiz Samadova (53 kg) will face Lithuanian Vestina Daniseviciute in the 1/4 finals. Ruzanna Mammadova (62 kg) and Zahra Karimzade (72 kg) will join the competition from the qualifying stage.
Also today, in the final, Gultekin Shirinova (55 kg) will face Gerda Terek from Hungary, and Gunay Gurbanova (59 kg) will face Marta Hetmanava from Belarus.
It should be noted that earlier freestyle wrestler Ali Tsokayev (92 kg) became the European champion. Jeyhun Allahverdiyev (61 kg), Vasif Bagirov (57 kg), Sabuhi Amiraslanov (79 kg), Yusif Dursunov (125 kg) won silver medals, and Musa Agayev (65 kg), Ramik Heybatov (70 kg) and Zafar Aliyev (97 kg) won bronze medals.
The European Championship will end on March 15.
