Idman.biz reports that this was stated by Nureddin Rajabov, the head coach of the Azerbaijani U-20 Greco-Roman wrestling team.
He evaluated the European Championship to the press service of the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation. Rajabov stated that our team took second place in the team standings because they were slightly behind the Georgian team in points: "I thank our federation for organizing our domestic and foreign training camps. The medals we won are also the result of this. I am grateful to everyone who contributed to these successes. 30 percent of our wrestlers were injured. True, we could have won more gold medals. We are grateful for this too. I think we showed a high result. Our main goal is to prepare wrestlers in the right form for adults. I believe that these children will become Olympic medalists, even champions."
It should be noted that the Azerbaijani U-20 Greco-Roman wrestling team took 2nd place in the team standings at the European Championship with one gold, three silver and two bronze medals.
