Bashir Verdiyev defeated Turkish Yusuf Kulalı (5:2) and British Danush Jovkar (14:4) to advance to the semi-finals. In this stage, he wrestled against Russian Adlan Saytiyev (UWW). Losing with a score of 5:15, Bashir will compete for bronze.
