Two Azerbaijani wrestlers under the age of 20 won medals at the "Nejad Hashemi Cup" tournament held in Behshahr, Iran.
The Azerbaijani Wrestling Federation's press service informed "Report" about this.
On the first day of the competition, the winners in freestyle wrestling at 57, 65, 74, 86, and 97 kg were determined.
On the first day of the traditional tournament, in which athletes from 7 countries competed, 2 members of the Azerbaijan U-20 national team rose to the podium. Omar Gulmammadov (74 kg) won a silver medal, and Sadraddin Hasanov (57 kg) won a bronze medal.
Vasif Bagirov, Huseyn Huseynov (both 57 kg), and Muhammad Abbaszadeh (86 kg) were content with fifth place.
It should be noted that today the medalists in 61, 70, 79, 92 and 125 kg will be determined.
