Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestler Turan Dashdamirov (55 kg) believes he will win a gold medal in the upcoming competitions.
The wrestler himself said this in an interview with "Report" after taking second place at the U-20 World Championship held in Samokov, Bulgaria.
He admitted that he made a mistake in the final match at the World Cup:
"It was the third time in a row that I reached the final at the World Championship. This year I won silver medals at both the European and World Championships. I am sure that in the coming years I will change the grade of my medal to gold. I made some mistakes in my final match. God willing, everything will be better in the upcoming competitions."
It should be noted that Turan Dashdamirov lost to Iranian Payam Balutaki with a score of 3:5 in the final and was content with a silver medal.
