Three Greco-Roman wrestlers from Azerbaijan have reached the final of the U-20 European Championship held in Caorle, Italy.
According to "Report", on the first day of the competition, Turan Dashdamirov (55 kg) defeated Georgian Koba Karumidze (4:4), Armenian Levon Ghazaryan (1:1) and Ukrainian Nazariy Babinskiy (3:1) to reach the final.
He will face Russian Ivan Solomin in the final.
Tural Ahmadov (63 kg) defeated Italian Emanuele Pollino (8:0), Bulgarian Kristiyan Milenkov (4:0), Hungarian Bende Olah (3:1) and Greek Marios Kapantais (11:1) to qualify for the final. Tural will wrestle Russian Igor Punchenko in the decisive match.
Davud Mammadov (77 kg) defeated Moldovan Konstantin Taska (11:0), Turkish Yusuf Tosun (3:3) and Armenian Samvel Terteryan (4:1) to secure a place in the final. Davud will compete for the gold medal against Georgian Anri Putkaradze.
The finals will be held tomorrow.
