A technical seminar on the implementation of new rules for wrestling referees was organized at the Ilham Aliyev Olympic Sports Complex in Nakhchivan.
Idman.Biz reports that the seminar was conducted by Asif Shiraliyev, Chairman of the Referees Committee of the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation, and Sadi Guliyev, a member of the committee. 14 specialists working as coaches and referees in the Autonomous Republic participated in the educational event.
During the seminar, the latest changes made by the United World Wrestling (UWW) to the wrestling rules, the mechanism for implementing these innovations in competitions, and the importance of making correct and uniform referee decisions were explained in detail. Discussions were based on practical examples.
The main goal of the event is to increase the knowledge and skills of referees and coaches, and at the same time contribute to ensuring objectivity and fair management in wrestling competitions held in Nakhchivan.
