A new center has been put into operation in Fuzuli by the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation (AGF).
"Report" informs that the sports hall of school No. 4, located in the 4th Return settlement of the district, has been provided with wrestling mats, various training and technical equipment, and other necessary sports equipment with the support of the federation.
This step was taken to support the development of sports in the region, as well as to increase the interest of local teenagers and young people in wrestling.
Today, AGF conducted a familiarization with the wrestling hall. Two-time Olympic medalist, three-time world and four-time European champion, AGF freestyle wrestling coordinator Haji Aliyev visited the wrestling center, met with young wrestlers and conveyed his recommendations to them.
At the opening ceremony, Ramiz Guliyev, chief advisor of the youth and sports sector for the Fuzuli region of the Karabakh Regional Youth and Sports Department, expressed his gratitude to AGF for its support. Speakers expressed their hope that winners and prize-winners of prestigious competitions will be trained in this wrestling center in the future.
It was noted that Haji Aliyev's visit, one of the symbols of Azerbaijani wrestling, plays a big motivation role for the wrestlers of that region. Here, 70 teenagers are engaged in freestyle wrestling under the leadership of experienced coach Vusal Eminov.
