According to "Report", this was stated by our freestyle wrestler Said Pashayev, who won a gold medal in the 92 kg weight category at the U-17 European Championship in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia, in an interview with journalists.
The athlete noted that he is preparing for the world championship: "My goals are big. I will do my best to achieve this".
It should be noted that the Azerbaijani youth freestyle wrestling team became the European champion. The Azerbaijani team won 6 medals in the continental championship with a successful performance. At the responsible competition, 3 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals were won. With this result, our national team, which scored 151 points, became the European champion again. Ukraine took second place with 144 points, and Georgia took third place with 116 points.
Let us remind you that Ravan Hasanzade (48 kg), Ruslan Alizade (55 kg) and Said Pashayev (92 kg) won gold, Hasan Hasanov (60 kg) silver, Ramal Mirhuseynov (51 kg) and Hakim Tagiyev (110 kg) won bronze medals under the leadership of great coach Asgarxan Novruzov, coaches Vahid Mammadov and Yashar Aliyev.
