The Azerbaijani female wrestler has reached the final of the U-20 World Championship held in Samokov, Bulgaria.
"Report" reports that on the fourth day of the competition, Ruzanna Mammadova (62 kg) secured at least a silver medal for herself.
The European champion started by completely defeating Kazakhstani Aidana Shorayeva (11:0). The quarter-final match against Uzbek Nigina Sabirova was held in a tense struggle.
Mammadova, who won a stubborn victory over her opponent with a score of 3:2, passed the semi-final easily. Ruzanna, who defeated Turkish Büşra Efe with a "pin", reached the final of the U20 World Championship for the first time in her career.
Our wrestler will face Chinese Yangzhen Yangzhen in the decisive match tomorrow.
