The results of the Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestlers at the ranking tournament held in Budapest, the capital of Hungary, were satisfactory.
This was stated by Rovshan Bayramov, the head coach of the national team, in his statement to "Report".
He emphasized that some wrestlers could not compete due to injuries.
"The ranking tournament was a test competition. It determines which places our athletes will take in the ranking. Our results could have been better. Most of our main wrestlers did not even step on the mat due to injuries. Overall, the results are satisfactory. We participated in the competition to determine the level of our athletes. The reason for the weak results was that some wrestlers did not participate in the competition due to injuries."
It should be noted that the national Greco-Roman wrestling team finished the last ranking competition of the year with 4 medals.
