Turkish Greco-Roman wrestler Rıza Kayaalp has achieved a historic success at the European Championship held in Tirana, the capital of Albania.
Idman.Biz's correspondent, who was sent to Albania, reports that the experienced athlete, competing in the 130 kg weight category, defeated all his opponents and became the strongest on the continent for the 13th time.
With this victory, the Turkish wrestler broke the European record. The previous record belonged to the legendary Aleksandr Karelin, a 12-time European champion.

It should be noted that no wrestler could surpass Karelin's achievement in 26 years. With his victory in Tirana, Rıza Kayaalp wrote his name in golden letters in sports history and became the wrestler with the most European championships.
After the victory, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan called Rıza Kayaalp and congratulated him on his victory and record.
