The "Champions" wrestling tournament among young people (U20) started today in Antalya, Turkey.
Idman.biz reports that Greco-Roman wrestlers in the 55, 67, 77 and 97 kg categories competed on the first day of the competition.
Two of our representatives climbed the podium. Turan Dashdemirov (55 kg) won a silver medal and Ismail Rzayev (97 kg) won a bronze medal. Khalid Alasgarov (55 kg) and Davud Mammadov (77 kg) finished fifth.
It should be noted that tomorrow our wrestlers in the 60, 72 and 87 kg categories will take to the mat.
