Our wrestlers, who achieved success at the U-23 World Championship, have announced their future goals

"I was satisfied with the team's performance at the U-23 World Championship held in Novi Sad, Serbia."

"Report" reports that this was stated by Aleksandr Tarakanov, the head coach of the Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestling team, a well-known specialist. According to him, the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation has created all the necessary conditions for athletes:

"Since the training camps went well, there was no need to wait long for the results. At the same time, everything went according to plan in the direction of preparation for the world championship, and the federation management created a great environment for us. Our team consists of young people, so I hope that they will achieve even greater success in the next championships. Because we gave young people a chance in Serbia, and we were not mistaken in this."

Our wrestler Ziya Babashov (63 kg), who won a gold medal at the U-23 World Championship, commented on his victory as follows: "I am very happy that our anthem was played. One of the main points in the competition is preparation. We were very well prepared for this competition and I believed in myself. I dedicate my victory to the Azerbaijani Army and martyrs."

Elmir Aliyev (55 kg), another wrestler who won a gold medal in Serbia, said: "Despite participating in the world championship for the first time, I climbed to the highest step. Before that, I lost to a Russian wrestler at the European Championship. This time there was a rematch and I defeated him. I intend to win a gold medal in the upcoming World, European and other tournaments. I express my gratitude to all the coaches who worked hard on me, including the federation."

Ruslan Nurullayev (72 kg), who won a bronze medal at the World Championship, also spoke and talked about the matches he had in the competition, and said that he would try to replace silver with gold in the next competitions.
