Wrestlers who will represent Azerbaijan at the Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, continue intensive training.
Idman.Biz reports that after the end of the women's national U-23 world championship, they are preparing for the last competition of the year at the Goygol Olympic Sports Complex.
Our other national teams are undergoing final preparations at the training camp of the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation.
Teams from foreign countries also participate in the training camp. Our Greco-Roman wrestlers train together with their colleagues from Bulgaria and Algeria. The Bulgarian national team also includes the current Olympic champion Semyon Novikov (87 kg).
In freestyle wrestling, more teams - Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Kazakhstan and Algeria - are preparing together for the Islamic Games. Among them is Ahmed Tajudinov, the Olympic, world and 2-time Asian champion representing Bahrain.
It should be noted that the preparation process will be completed on November 14. The next day, the national teams will leave for Riyadh. Wrestling competitions at the Islamic Games will be held from November 18 to 21. Bashir Isazade, a first-class judge, will ensure justice at the Islamic Games.
