Our national women's wrestling team has started a training camp abroad. Sport24.az reports that our team has started training with the local team in Nigde, Turkey.
It is expected that the national teams of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan will also join the preparation process, which will last until June 25.
Asmer Cankurtaran (50 kg), Elnura Mammadova (53 kg), Nargiz Samadova, Gultakin Shirinova (both 55 kg), Jala Aliyeva (57 kg), Gunay Gurbanova (59 kg), Ruzanna Mammadova and Birgul Soltanova (both 62 kg) are participating in the training camp, which is preparatory for the upcoming international competitions, under the leadership of acting head coach Togrul Asgarov and senior coach Agahuseyn Mustafayev.
It should be noted that after the training camp, Gunay and Ruzanna will go to Caorle, Italy to participate in the U-20 European Championship. The other wrestlers will participate in the Yaşar Doğu, Vehbi Emre and Hamit Kaplan memorial tournament to be held in Kocaeli, Turkey.
