The U20 European Championship held in Caorle, Italy, has come to an end.
Report informs that our freestyle wrestling team has won 5 medals at the continental championship. Our team scored 133 points with 1 gold, 2 silver, and 2 bronze medals, and became the European runner-up. Georgia (164) took first place, and Ukraine (81) took third place.
It is worth noting that Vasif Bagirov (57 kg) won gold, Muradkhan Omarov (79 kg) and Yusif Dursunov (125 kg) won silver, and Omar Gulmammadov (74 kg) and Anar Jafarli (92 kg) won bronze medals under the leadership of senior coach Arif Abdullayev, coaches Rovshan Hajiyev, and Ashraf Aliyev.
