The U-15 European Championship held in Caorle, Italy, has come to an end.
Idman.biz reports that our Greco-Roman wrestling team has become the European champion in the team standings.
Our team finished the competition with 1 gold, 2 silver, and 3 bronze medals. Our team, which scored 131 points, left behind the teams of Armenia (125) and Georgia (99).
From Azerbaijani wrestlers, Omar Salmanov (44 kg) won gold, Huseyn Amrahli (38 kg) and Ruslan Nuriyev (75 kg) won silver, and Khudayar Karimli (38 kg), Huseyn Mustafazade (52 kg), and Nadir Hasanov (62 kg) won bronze medals.
It should be noted that our team became the European champion for the 3rd time in its history. Our Greco-Roman wrestling team achieved the same success in 2022 and 2024 as well.
