Azerbaijani wrestler Osman Nurmagomedov (92 kg) won a bronze medal at the World Championship held in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia.

Jabrayil Hajiyev (79 kg) defeated Japanese Ryunosuke Kamiya 5:3 in the consolation match. The debutant lost to Iranian Mohammad Nokhodilarimi (2:4) in the bronze medal match and finished the World Championship in 5th place.
