According to this year's training plan, the opening ceremony of the Azerbaijan Army Judo, Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling championship was held.
İdman.Biz reports with reference to the Ministry of Defense that at the event organized at the Military Institute named after Heydar Aliyev, the memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the Motherland was commemorated with a minute of silence. The National Anthem was played by the military orchestra.
After the composition of the participating teams was checked, the purpose and safety rules of the competition were communicated to the athletes. The head referees who will manage all three competitions were also introduced.
On the first day of the competition, after the weight categories of the athletes who will compete in Greco-Roman wrestling were determined, individual and team matches were started.
It should be noted that a total of 297 athletes from 11 teams in 10 weight categories in each sport are participating in the competition.
