The Shusha District Open Championship in Greco-Roman wrestling, dedicated to the memory of martyr Alekberov Telman Igdam oglu, was held for the 2nd time by the Shusha District Children and Youth Sports School, organized by the Karabakh Regional Youth and Sports Department of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Idman.Biz reports that about 200 athletes competed for medals in the competition.
Tural Allahverdiyev, director of Shusha DYSS, said that the competition has already become a tradition: "The memory of our martyrs must always be remembered as long as the world exists. The competition provides participants with an unforgettable experience."
The event also serves to popularize sports among young people and promote their physical and spiritual development. Shusha DYSS aims to continue such events in the future and unite young people with sports.
