With the support of the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation (AGF), another wrestling hall has been opened.
Idman.biz reports that a new wrestling venue that meets modern requirements has been commissioned in Shamakhi.
The opening ceremony was attended by AGF Secretary General Nasimi Musayev, Head of Shamakhi Youth and Sports Department Shahmar Huseynov, representative of Shamakhi District Executive Authority Ilgar Efendiyev, I-S degree judge, representative of the head of the executive power in the Shamakhi city administrative territorial district Asif Shiraliyev, senior coach of the U17 national women's wrestling team Hasrat MammadYarov, veteran wrestlers - Hajibaba Shykhiev and Adalat Hamidov. The guests expressed their belief that this wrestling center will keep the traditions of freestyle wrestling alive in Shamakhi.
The hall operates under the Shamakhi city stadium. Free freestyle wrestling trainings for children, teenagers and young people are organized in the wrestling center located on Ashig Mammadagha Street. Equipped with modern equipment, the hall will also function as one of the AGF's regional training centers.
The aim of the project is to contribute to the development of wrestling in the region and create conditions for the emergence of new talents.
It should be noted that AGF will continue a series of events in this direction.
