The Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation (AGF) continues its activities to strengthen the material and technical base. Sport24.az reports that the opening ceremony of the federation's new training base was held today.
The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, AGF officials and coaches. AGF Vice President Namig Aliyev, member of the AGF Executive Committee, Olympic champion Namig Abdullayev, AGF Secretary General Nasimi Musayev, Head of Sector of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Yashar Rzayev, as well as senior coach of the U17 national freestyle wrestling team Asgarxan Novruzov spoke and expressed their heartfelt words, stating that the new base will give a great impetus to the development of our freestyle wrestling.
The wrestling center located in Khatai district has been given to young freestyle wrestlers. The training base is fully equipped with inventory. The wrestling center with an area of 315 square meters has coaching and fitness rooms, a boiler room, and sanitary facilities for coaches and athletes.
It should be noted that the training processes of the U15 and U17 national teams, which have attracted attention with their successes in international arenas in recent years, will be held in the wrestling center.
