"In my first fight, I defeated an Italian, then a Kyrgyz wrestler."
Idman.biz reports that these words were said by Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestler Murad Ahmadiev (97 kg) while commenting on winning a bronze medal at the World Championship in Zagreb.
"After that, I defeated a strong Armenian athlete. Although I lost in the semi-final with a score of 1:1, I defeated a Hungarian in the fight for the bronze medal," Ahmadiev said.
He especially noted the importance of his fight with Artur Aleksanyan:
"This fight was the most important for me. There is nothing better than defeating him. The last seconds were especially difficult; I could have stepped off the mat, but I endured and won."
The bronze medalist of the World Championship added that he dedicates the medal to his family.
