Azerbaijani weightlifter Muhammadali Mammadzadeh (88 kg) won 2 silver medals at the U-15 European Championship held in Madrid, the capital of Spain.
The Azerbaijani Weightlifting Federation's press service told "Report" about this.
The athlete, who joined the competition on the last day of the competition, showed a result of 122 kg in the snatch exercise. He then coped with a weight of 147 kg in the clean and jerk exercise. Thus, the athlete, who scored 269 kg in the total of two movements, won the silver medal of the European Championship.
It should be noted that Aykhan Mammadov, our other representative who competed in this weight category, finished the European Championship in 6th place with a total result of 218 kg (102+116).
