"Freestyle wrestler Osman Nurmagomedov (92 kg) will make Azerbaijan proud with higher-level medals in future competitions." Sport24.az reports that this was written by Mikayil Jabbarov, President of the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation (AGF), on his "X" social network account.
He congratulated freestyle wrestler Osman Nurmagomedov (92 kg), who won a bronze medal at the World Championship held in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia:
"Our national wrestling team continues its success at the World Championship held in Zagreb, Croatia. An experienced member of the national team, our freestyle wrestler Osman Nurmagomedov (92 kg) won a bronze medal. We congratulate our wrestler, coaches and family members of the athlete, who climbed the honorary podium for the 4th time in his career at the World Championship. We believe that Osman will make us proud with higher-level medals in future competitions."
It should be noted that Azerbaijani freestyle wrestlers have won four medals at the World Championship. Giorgi Meshvildishvili (125 kg) won silver, while Nureddin Novruzov (61 kg), Arseniy Djioyev (86 kg) and Osman Nurmagomedov (92 kg) won bronze medals.
