The main goal for Azerbaijani wrestlers at the "Tallinn Open" tournament among juniors in Estonia was not the result, but learning.
This was stated to "Report" by Mariya Stadnik, the head coach of the U-17 national women's team.
She said that the competition was of a preparatory nature for the European Championship:
"The main goal for the girls was not the result, but to learn. It was important to see their condition during the competition, to better understand their psychology and to determine an individual approach to each of them. This tournament was a very good experience for our wrestlers. I can say that I am satisfied with them. Because they fought to the end."
M. Stadnik added that after the end of the "Tallinn Open" tournament, they joined a training camp in the mentioned country.
It should be reminded that Azerbaijani wrestlers won 5 medals at the "Tallinn Open" tournament. Fatima Bayramova (53 kg) became the champion. Nazrin Ahmadli (49 kg), Rana Nuriyeva (61 kg) and Simura Abdullayeva (69 kg) won silver medals, and Khadija Gurbanzade (49 kg) won a bronze medal.
