Azerbaijani representative Latif Aliyev won a gold medal at the European Weightlifting Championship among athletes under 15, held in Madrid, the capital of Spain.
"Report" reports that the athlete, competing in the 71 kg weight category, won a gold medal by showing a result of 108 kg in the snatch.
Latif lifted 129 kg overhead in the clean and jerk. Thus, our athlete, who achieved a result of 237 kg in the total of two movements, won the silver medal of the European Championship.
