Khetag Gazyumov, the head coach of the Azerbaijani freestyle wrestling team, assessed the performance of athletes at the U23 World Championship held in Novi Sad, Serbia.
According to "Report", X.Gazyumov stated that he was pleased with Kenan Heybatov's (70 kg) gold medal.
He noted that this is a long-awaited achievement for the team. The head coach also emphasized that Khetag Karsanov's (125 kg) silver medal in the new weight category is a significant achievement.
He added that in three days, the team will begin preparations for the Islamic Solidarity Games. "We will take into account the experience gained during the championship, correct mistakes, and add new elements to our training to make our athletes more effective," the head coach concluded.
