Azerbaijani female wrestler Jale Aliyeva won a gold medal at the VI Islamic Solidarity Games held in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.
Lent.az reports that the athlete, competing in the 57 kg weight category, defeated Turkish Elvira Suleymani 6:2 in the final and became the winner of the Games.
Elnura Mammadova (50 kg) won a bronze medal.
It should be noted that earlier, Greco-Roman wrestlers Hasrat Jafarov (67 kg) and Murad Ahmadiev (97 kg) took second place.
