The "Muhamet Malo" tournament continues in Tirana, the capital of Albania. According to Sport24.az, 3 members of the national freestyle wrestling team competed on the second day of the rating tournament, and 1 of them reached the podium.
Jabrayil Hajiyev (79 kg) lost to Iranian Mohammad Ashgar Nokhodilarimi 2:7 in the 1/4 final, but in the consolation match he pinned Georgian Tariel Gafrindashvili, and in the bronze medal match he defeated Indian Sagar Jaglan 10:4 and rose to the third step of the podium.
Magomedkhan Magomedov (97 kg) eliminated Turkish Rifat Eren Gidak (6:4) and American Jonathan Leonard Aiello (13:2), but failed against Russian Mukhamed-Takhir Khaniyev (0:10) in the semi-final. Magomedov, who was injured in this match, did not compete for the bronze medal.
Giorgi Meshvildishvili (125 kg) defeated Turkmenistan's Ziyamukhammet Saparov with a full advantage (12:2), but lost to American Wyatt Eviri Hendrickson 4:15 in the 1/4 final.
