Another Azerbaijani freestyle wrestler won a bronze medal at the "Muhamet Malo" tournament held in Tirana, the capital of Albania.
Idman.Biz reports that Jabrail Hajiyev, competing in the 79 kg weight category, won the bronze medal at the rating tournament by defeating Indian Sagar Jaglan with a score of 10:4.
It should be noted that Rashid Babazade (65 kg) won a silver medal, and Islam Bazarganov (57 kg) and Arseniy Djioyev (86 kg) won bronze medals earlier.

Bronze medalist of the Paris-2024 Olympics in freestyle wrestling, Magomedkhan Magomedov (97 kg), qualified for the semi-finals at the rating tournament held in Tirana, the capital of Albania.
According to Idman.Biz, Magomedov won a confident victory over American wrestler Jonathan Leonard with a score of 13:2 in the 1/4 final stage.
Prior to that, in the 1/8 final stage, the Azerbaijani freestyle wrestler defeated Turkish representative Rifat Eren.
Two other representatives of Azerbaijan - Jabrail Hajiyev (79 kg) and another bronze medalist of the Paris-2024 Olympics, Georgi Meshvildishvili (125 kg) - failed to reach the semi-finals. They lost in the 1/4 finals to Iranian representative Mohammad Nokhodi Larimi and American wrestler Wyatt Hendricks, respectively.
Currently, the Azerbaijani national team has three medals in its assets at the rating tournament in Tirana: Rashid Babazade (65 kg) won a silver medal, and Islam Bazarganov (57 kg) and Arseniy Cioyev (86 kg) won bronze medals.
