Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestler Hasrat Jafarov won a silver medal at the VI Islamic Solidarity Games held in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.
Idman.Biz reports that the athlete, competing in the 67 kg weight category, lost to Iranian Olympic champion Saeed Esmaeili 3:8 in the final and took second place.
Nihat Mammadli (60 kg) lost in the bronze medal match.
Today, Ulvi Ganizade (77 kg) and Islam Abbasov (87 kg) will also compete for 3rd place.

Nihat Mammadli (60 kg) lost to Uzbek Alisher Ganiev 0:3 in the 1/4 final.
Ulvi Ganizade lost to his Iranian opponent Amir Abdi 0:9 in the 1/8 final. Since his opponent reached the final, Ganizade will participate in a consolation match.
Islam Abbasov (87 kg) lost to Iranian Gholamreza Farokhisencani 0:3 in the 1/4 final.
