The wrestling world has witnessed an incredible victory. At the U-23 European Championship in Zrenjanin, Serbia, Rakhim Magamadov was caught off guard by his opponent at a moment when he already thought he had won.
Idman.Biz reports, citing the official UWW website, that in the 1/4 final stage of the 86 kg wrestling category, Bozigit Islamgereyev applied a rare and risky "flying squirrel" move seconds before the end of the match. Islamgereyev jumped over his opponent and scored a spectacular victory with last-second points.
It should be noted that this move is called so because the wrestler, when jumping into the air, opens his arms and legs, resembling a gliding squirrel. The first author of the move is American wrestler Ellis Coleman. He popularized this acrobatic move all over the world by using it at the 2011 Junior World Championships.
