Idman.Biz reports with reference to "Report" that these words were said by Jala Aliyeva, Azerbaijani female wrestler who won a gold medal at the VI Islamic Solidarity Games held in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.

"I want to achieve even greater success in the future. My goals are big. In the final, I faced Turkish Elvira Suleymani. I had faced her before at the European Championship. Unfortunately, I injured my rib, and the referee stopped the match and gave her the victory. I took revenge at the Islamic Games. I hope I can achieve the desired result in the upcoming World and European Championships."

Another athlete, female wrestler Hasanli Khadija, who won a bronze medal at the games, said that she regretted not being able to climb to the highest step of the podium: "This was our first performance as a team in the Islamic Games. It is very gratifying that we returned to our country with a medal. We are not so satisfied with the result. Because we went there for a gold medal. It's just that the Uzbekistan team, which we lost to, was more experienced than us. Unfortunately, we lost to them by one point."

The athlete, who climbed to the highest step of the podium in the 86 kg weight category, continued his words: "In the decisive match, I defeated Khidir Saipudinov from Bahrain. This victory was realized thanks to the support of the Azerbaijani people. Thank you all."

The Azerbaijani team finished the Games with a total of 59 medals. 9 of them are gold, 19 are silver, and 31 are bronze. With this indicator, our country took 10th place in the overall medal ranking. Turkey is in the first place. Uzbekistan was second and Iran was third.
