III CIS Games: Azerbaijan's wrestling team determined

The wrestling competitions of the III CIS Games will be held from October 3 to 7.

The winners in freestyle and women's wrestling will be determined on the 3rd-4th of the month, and in Greco-Roman wrestling on the 7th at the Ganja Olympic Sports Complex. A total of 150 wrestlers from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan will compete. Our country will be represented by 27 wrestlers at the CIS Games.

In freestyle wrestling, under the leadership of head coach Asgarxan Novruzov, coaches Vahid Mammadov and Yashar Aliyev, Huseyn Rzazade (45 kg), Ravan Hasanzade (48 kg), Hajihuseyn Ahmadzade (51 kg), Ibrahim Suleymanov (55 kg), Rashid Nazarov (60 kg), Huseyn Ismayilov (65 kg), Nihad Abasov (71 kg), Ali Hajiyev (80 kg), Amin Nasibov (92 kg) and Hakim Tagiyev (110 kg) will perform.

In women's wrestling, under the leadership of acting head coach Togrul Asgarov, coaches Hasrat Mammadov and Solmaz Adilova, Gunel Guliyeva (43 kg), Nazrin Ahmadli (46 kg), Khadija Gurbanzade (49 kg), Khadijakhanim Talibova (53 kg), Esra Mammadli (57 kg), Fidan Babayeva (61 kg) and Simura Abdullayeva (65 kg) will try to win.

In Greco-Roman wrestling, under the leadership of head coach Taleh Israfilov, coaches Nazim Ahmadov and Rasim Agayev, Omar Salmanov (45 kg), Yusif Mirzayev (48 kg), Elshad Abbasov (51 kg), Hikmat Hagverdiyev (55 kg), Ali Nazarov (60 kg), Nihat Tagiyev (65 kg), Islam Sultanov (71 kg), Nijat Yeylagaliyev (80 kg), Emil Abasov (92 kg) and Rauf Mutallimov (110 kg) will represent our country.
