The head coach of the Azerbaijan national Greco-Roman wrestling team has been determined. Sport24.az reports that Mohammad Bana, who won a total of 4 gold medals at the Olympic Games, has been appointed to this post. Nureddin Rajabov has been appointed as the senior coach of the national team.
Rovshan Bayramov, Sabah Shariati, Behrouz Hazratippur and Rasul Cazini Dorchi will also be in the coaching staff. It should be noted that the Iranian national team won 3 gold medals under Bana's leadership at the London-2012 Olympic Games, setting a new record in Iranian wrestling. With this expert, the team of the neighboring country won 1 gold and 1 bronze medal at the Tokyo-2020 Olympic Games. Bana, who was selected as the world's best coach by FILA (now UWW) in 2011, was awarded the "Courage" Order in Iran.
