Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestler Hasrat Jafarov (67 kg) won a silver medal at the World Championship held in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia.
Idman.biz reports that Jafarov lost to Iranian Saeed Ismaili 1:2 in the final.
This is Hasrat Jafarov's second silver medal at the World Championships among adults. He previously won a silver medal in 2023 and a bronze medal in 2022. In addition, the wrestler's record includes a bronze medal at the Paris-2024 Summer Olympic Games and a three-time European championship.
Thus, Azerbaijani wrestlers finished the Zagreb World Championship with a total of 8 medals: 1 gold, 2 silver and 5 bronze.
