Lent.az reports that Murad Mammadov (63 kg) defeated Kyrgyz Bayaman Karimova 8:5 at the start.
In the next match, the Azerbaijani wrestler defeated Turkish Kerem Kamal (5:3) with a trick he used in the last seconds and made it to the 1/4 finals. However, he lost to Iranian Mohammad Keshtkar in this stage - 0:8.
Hasrat Jafarov (67 kg) defeated Venezuelan Neyser Hidalgo and Australian Tsuchika Shimoyama 9:0 and advanced to the 1/4 finals. Hasrat, who was stronger than Armenian Slavik Galstyan (4:3) at this stage, faced Kyrgyz Razzak Beishekeev in the semi-final and won 3:1 to qualify for the final of the world championship. Tomorrow, Jafarov will face Iranian Olympic, world and Asian champion Said Esmaeili in the decisive match.
