Haji Aliyev: The results of wrestlers at the III CIS Games are satisfactory

The results achieved by the wrestlers at the III CIS Games are not so bad.

According to the Western Bureau of "Report", Haji Aliyev, coordinator for freestyle wrestling of the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation, said this in a statement to journalists.

He also said that he believes that the wrestlers will achieve high results in the tournament:

"Everyone wants the results to be better, more gold medals. But this is sports, there is both defeat and victory. Since the competition is held in our country, our athletes received more support from the fans and were superior to their rivals in this regard. They could have shown better results, but unfortunately, I did not get the result I expected. I think the results achieved are not so bad. Tomorrow, 5 of our freestyle wrestlers will perform. Of course, there are mistakes, but we must work on them to prevent them from being repeated."

The experienced athlete said that he was with the wrestlers at both the world and European championships this year:

"We have European champions who are also competing here. But half of them will perform tomorrow. I was expecting a good result, but it didn't happen. Again, it should be noted that these are adolescent wrestlers. If they were adults, this result could be assessed as a serious mistake. Teenagers are inexperienced, make many mistakes, and this is due to their age. It seems to me that they will fully develop themselves in a few years. Our main goal is to support teenagers. I want them to achieve even more results than I have achieved."
