An international Greco-Roman wrestling tournament was held in Novosibirsk, Russia.
Idman.biz reports that more than 200 athletes from 10 countries participated in the competition organized in memory of the Hero of the USSR, Alexander Aksyonov.
Two members of the national team, who participated in the memorial under the leadership of coaches Sabah Shariati and Zohrabb Abbasov, climbed the podium. Rashad Mammadov (55 kg) became the champion by defeating all his rivals. Muhammad Ahmadiev (97 kg) won a bronze medal.
It should be noted that Habib Nurulu, a first-class judge, ensured justice at the tournament.
