Today, four more Azerbaijani female wrestlers will join the competition at the European Championships held in Tirana, the capital of Albania.
Idman.Biz reports that in the qualifying stage, Jala Aliyeva (57 kg) will face German representative Amori Andrich.
Ruzanna Mammadova (62 kg) will face Ukrainian wrestler Ilona Prokopevnyuk.
Birgul Soltanova (65 kg) will wrestle Krista Ince in the 1/4 final stage.
Gunay Gurbanova (59 kg) will face Marta Getmanova (UWW) in the bronze medal match.
It should be reminded that Azerbaijan has won five medals at the European Championships so far. Greco-Roman wrestlers Hasrat Jafarov (67 kg) and Gurban Gurbanov (82 kg) won gold, Rashad Mammadov (55 kg), Nihat Mammadli (60 kg) and Islam Abbasov (87 kg) won bronze medals. Also, the Greco-Roman wrestling national team became the European champion in the team score.
It should be noted that the European Championship will end on April 26.
