There is great confidence that Azerbaijani fencers will win a gold medal at the 3rd CIS Games.
This was stated by Chingiz Mustafayev, the head coach of the national team, in his statement to the Western Bureau of "Report".
"The Russian team has 2 world champions, as does the Uzbekistan team. Today, our athletes did what they could. We expect a better result from tomorrow's team competition. Our athletes were born in 2008-2009. They still have a lot of work to do. The main thing is that we saw the mistakes, and it is possible to eliminate them with experience. Tomorrow we will face Russia and Uzbekistan. We have great hope, we can win a gold medal," the expert emphasized.
It should be noted that Azerbaijani fencers have won 6 bronze medals in individual competitions at the 3rd CIS Games.
