Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestler Farid Khalilov (67 kg) won a bronze medal at the U-23 European Championship held in Zrenjanin, Serbia.
According to information from the "Report" correspondent dispatched to the competition, he defeated Hungarian Petro Zhitovoz 6:3 in the bronze medal match.
This is Azerbaijan's 5th bronze medal at the European Championship. Previously, freestyle wrestlers Musa Agayev (65 kg), Ramik Heybatov (70 kg), Zafar Aliyev (97 kg), and Farid Sadikhli (55 kg) also won bronze medals.
The tournament will conclude on March 15.
