Cooperation with the head coach of the national Greco-Roman wrestling team, Alexander Tarakanov, has ended on the basis of mutual agreement. Sport24.az reports this with reference to the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation (AGF).
"AGF expresses its gratitude to the Russian specialist for his contribution to Azerbaijani wrestling and wishes him success in his future activities," the statement said.
It should be noted that under the leadership of A.Tarakanov, who has been working as the head coach since October 2019, the national team won the European and world championships twice, as well as 1 bronze medal at the Tokyo-2020 and Paris-2024 Olympic Games.
