Azerbaijan's wrestling team for the U-23 European Championship has been determined

The composition of the Azerbaijani national team, which will participate in the U-23 European Wrestling Championship to be held in Zrenjanin, Serbia, has been announced.

"Report" informs, referring to the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation, that our country will be represented in all three types of wrestling at the first continental championship of the year, which will be held from March 9 to 15.

Freestyle wrestlers will open the competition. Under the leadership of senior coach Jabrayil Hasanov, coaches Taymuraz Kokoyev and Sharif Sharifov, Vasif Bagirov (57 kg), Jeyhun Allahverdiyev (61 kg), Musa Agayev (65 kg), Ramik Heybatov (70 kg), Aganazar Novruzov (74 kg), Sabuhi Amiraslanov (79 kg), Vasif Khudiyev (86 kg), Ali Tsokayev (92 kg), Zafar Aliyev (97 kg) and Yusif Dursunov (125 kg) will compete.

In the women's wrestling competition, Asmar Cankurtaran (50 kg), Nargiz Samadova (53 kg), Gultakin Shirinova (55 kg), Gunay Gurbanova (59 kg), Ruzanna Mammadova (62 kg) and Zahra Karimzade (72 kg) will test their strength under the leadership of acting head coach Togrul Asgarov and coach Agahuseyn Mustafayev.

Greco-Roman wrestlers will compete on the final days of the championship. Under the leadership of head coach Mahammad Bana, senior coach Nureddin Rajabov, coaches Sabah Shariati and Rasul Jazini, Farid Sadikhli (55 kg), Aykhan Javadov (60 kg), Ilkin Gurbanov (63 kg), Farid Khalilov (67 kg), Farayim Mustafayev (72 kg), Ravan Nuriyev (77 kg), Elmin Aliyev (82 kg), Said Akhundzade (87 kg), Ali Guliyev (97 kg) and Aykhan Mardanov (130 kg) will compete for success.

It should be noted that our country will be represented at the European Championship as referees by I category referees Vugar Shukurov and Kamran Aliyev.
