The U15 European Championship held in Caorle, Italy, has concluded.
"Report" informs that the Azerbaijani national team became the European champion in the team standings at the continental championship. The Greco-Roman wrestling team, which won 1 gold, 2 silver, and 3 bronze medals, took first place with 131 points. Armenia (125) was second, and Georgia (99) was third.
As part of the national team, Omar Salmanov (44 kg) became the European champion by defeating all his opponents. Huseyn Amrahli (38 kg) and Ruslan Nuriyev (75 kg) won silver medals. Khudayar Karimli (38 kg), Huseyn Mustafazade (52 kg), and Nadir Hasanov (62 kg) won bronze medals.
It should be noted that this team is becoming the European champion for the 3rd time. The Greco-Roman wrestling team achieved the same success in 2022 and 2024.
It is worth remembering that a few days ago, the freestyle wrestling team became the European champion in Italy.
