The roster of the Azerbaijan U-20 wrestling team for the European Championship, which will be held from June 30 to July 6 in Caorle, Italy, has been determined.
The Wrestling Federation's press service informed "Report" about this.
Greco-Roman wrestlers will open the continental championship. Under the leadership of head coach Nureddin Rajabov and coaches Emin Ahmadov and Turaj Huseynli, Turan Dashdamirov (55 kg), Aykhan Javadov (60 kg), Tural Ahmadov (63 kg), Faraim Mustafayev (67 kg), Seymur Gasimov (72 kg), Davud Mammadov (77 kg), Elmin Aliyev (82 kg), Orkhan Hajiyev (87 kg), Ismayil Rzayev (97 kg) and Mazaim Mardanov (130 kg) will compete on the mat.
Then the relay will pass to women wrestlers. Under the leadership of acting head coach Togrul Asgarov and senior coach Rovshan Umudov, Elvina Karimzade (50 kg), Gular Habibova (57 kg), Gunay Gurbanova (59 kg), Ruzanna Mammadova (62 kg) and Zahra Karimzade (72 kg) will compete.
On the last days of the competition, freestyle wrestlers will show their skills. Under the leadership of head coach Arif Abdullayev and coaches Rovshan Hajiyev and Ashraf Aliyev, Vasif Bagirov (57 kg), Bashir Verdiyev (61 kg), Haji Karimov (65 kg), Ismayil Rahimli (70 kg), Omar Gulmammadov (74 kg), Muradkhan Omarov (79 kg), Muhammad Abbaszadeh (86 kg), Anar Jafarli (92 kg), Ravan Musayev (97 kg) and Yusif Dursunov (125 kg) will try to succeed.
Meetings will start every day at 12:30 Baku time. The matches for medals will start at 20:00.
International referee of the 1st category Tural Aliyev will protect justice at the European Championship.
